Mike Frost Encouragement Award

New in 2026, this Award honours the legacy of Mike Frost, a passionate advocate for vocational education and a tireless supporter of young Tasmanians finding their path through hands-on learning. Mike believed deeply in the power of VET to transform lives, especially for students still at school who are just beginning to discover their strengths and passions.

The Mike Frost Encouragement Award will recognise a VET in Schools student who demonstrates outstanding commitment, growth, and potential in their chosen field—someone who embodies the spirit of opportunity and excellence that Mike championed throughout his life.

This Award is decided by the judging panel for the VET in Schools Student of the Year.
