10 Sept 2021 - North West School Based Apprenticeship Grant Program

Funding is now available for employers in north-west Tasmania to employ a school-based apprentice or trainee. This program will help employers identify a new generation of staff and provide senior school students the opportunity to commence rewarding careers.

The program opens on Saturday 11 September 2021, and provides grants of $2,500 to encourage local employers to find students interested to start a trade while they complete year 10, 11 and 12. The program is also open to employers that have taken on a school-based apprentice or trainee from 1 June 2021.

Applications will be accepted from employers whose business operates in one of Tasmania’s identified growth industries.
