Celebrating the 2022 Tasmanian Training Awards

The best of the best of Tasmania’s vocational education and training sector turned out in style at Wrest Point on Friday 9 September for VET’s big celebration of the year – the 2022 Tasmanian Training Awards.

The awards celebrate Tasmania’s outstanding, passionate and dedicated individuals, employers, trainers and training providers who have excelled through vocational education and training. For a full list of winners and their stories go to the TTA Winners webpage.

WorldSkills Competition

Tasmania’s WorldSkills competitions are underway and we have already witnessed some fantastic results.

WorldSkills Australia are Australia’s biggest vocational education and excellence competitions, where participants compete against industry peers in practical skills challenges across a range of industry areas. Taking part opens doors for young people and provides benefits for their careers and employers.

Competitions are taking place at TasTAFE campuses throughout the state until early November. Regional competition gold medal winners may have the opportunity to represent Tasmania at the WorldSkills Australia National Championships in Melbourne in August 2023.
