9 Oct 2021 - 2022 Apprentice and Trainee Training Fund (User Choice) now open
Skills Tasmania endorsed registered training organisations can now apply to the 2022 Apprentice and Trainee Training Fund (User Choice) to provide subsided training of apprentice and trainees across the state in 2022.
$25 million has been allocated for the 2022 Fund to significantly reduce the cost of providing dedicated vocational training for apprentices and trainees to build a more highly skilled workforce in Tasmania.
To assist in the ongoing service provision to Tasmanian apprentices and trainees, Skills Tasmania will renew all existing 2021 agreement arrangements into the 2022 Fund.
Skills Tasmania will issue renewal agreements for the 2022 Fund from Monday 11 October 2021 or earlier subject to Ministerial approval. If an RTO wishes to change the terms of the existing agreement (such as qualifications or subsidy rate), a new application for the 2022 Fund will be required for the qualifications impacted.
RTOs who are not eligible for agreement renewals must apply to the 2022 fund via SmartyGrants.
RTOs are encouraged to read the 2022 Apprentice and Trainee Training Fund (User Choice) RTO guidelines to ensure they meet all eligibility criteria and conditions of the Fund.
RTOs are invited to attend an Information webinar to learn more about the 2022 Apprentice and Trainee Training Fund (User Choice). These will be held on the following dates via Teams Meetings:
